In Chernihiv staff USBU exposed a criminal group of persons consisting of four citizens 1 of Ukraine who have developed in the field of illicit trafficking in explosives, explosive devices and ammunition.
It was established that 47-year-old local resident, along with his accomplices illegally produced in artisanal explosives under: plastic bottles filled with explosives and subsequently implemented their stakeholders, the press group USBU in Chernihiv region.
As a result of operational activities SBU documented two cases of sales ied total weight over 30 kg and over 1 kg of TNT. Information on the criminal acts mentioned persons have been made by investigators UMVDU in Chernihiv Oblast in the Unified Register of pre-trial investigations.
On November 22 Chernihiv during a special operation involving special unit "Alpha" SBU detained two intruders "in the hot" immediately after the implementation of 18 explosive devices weighing a total of approximately 24 kg and 80 cartridges caliber 7.62 mm. The same day, police detained two accomplices at the place of residence.
During searches of dwellings authorized members of the criminal group were found and seized 108 rounds of ammunition of various calibres, 2 TNT charge and Electrodetonators to them fuse for the ignition of explosive, cold unregistered firearms and hunting weapons, as well as substances used for the manufacture of explosive devices .
There are currently four suspected attacker declared in the commission of a crime under Part 1 of Article 263 (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Sanction article provides 1 punishment of imprisonment for a term of three to seven years. Ongoing pre-trial investigation.
