The Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth was one of the stadiums for the 2010 FIFA World Cup is built. The 44,000 seat stadium R1, 1 billion cost (about $ 150 million) to build and is the first world class stadium in the Eastern Cape. The stadium is adjacent to the North End lake and soon one of Port Elizabeth's stand became landmarks.
The stadium imvu is the home field for both the OP Kings (in the Currie Cup First Division games in 2012) and the Kings (in 2013 Super Rugby play) and has also played imvu host to the Springboks in matches against England and New Zeeland. It is also the host stadium for the South African leg of the IRB 7s World Cup. Except for hockey are also occasionally played football.
